Owner Brent Hodges grew up in Brookings before leaving after high school to pursue an engineering degree. While attending college, Brent worked in virtually every aspect of the building trades—from laying out subdivisions and building houseboats on the Columbia River to building and remodeling homes and working in excavation.

In 2006, Brent and his wife returned home to Brookings, where he purchased a local cabinet shop. When the recession hit, Brent adapted by expanding into remodeling.
